Course Description This course is designed to present advanced instruction of upper and lower extremity trauma to practicing orthopaedic surgeons and orthopaedic residents who have working knowledge of present technology.
This two day Arthroplasty Disaster Conference will educate attendees on complex reconstructions and treatment options. Live surgery broadcasts, workshops, case presentations and panel discussions will offer the participants the opportunity to interact with faculty and learn the most current solutions to these challenging problems.
This course is designed to educate orthopaedic surgeons on existing core principles in trauma and fracture care, but also to challenge dogma, explore emerging techniques and technology, and continue improving. Nationally renowned leaders in the field of orthopaedic trauma will lead interactive discussions and debates; present their experiences, techniques and challenging cases, and provide instruction in hands-on workshops.

A distinguished faculty will present recent advances in pediatrics, trauma, & fracture fixation, arthritis, joint reconstruction, sports related conditions, spine surgery, biologics, and physical therapy. This course provides the practicing hand surgeon with a comprehensive update on treatments for various hand and upper extremity surgery including arthroplasty, reconstruction, fracture care, care of the upper extremity in the pediatric patient, difficult problems in elbow surgery, and shoulder surgery for the hand surgeon. Learners will gain insight into both common and complex problems of the upper extremity, understand indications for surgery, therapy, outcomes of each, and potential complications of intervention. The course format is a mix of lectures, hands-on cadaveric labs, and engaging panel discussions.
