About the Program

The FOI & FORE Spine Fellowship is a one-year, accredited training program jointly administered by Florida Orthopaedic Institute and the Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education. Accepting one fellow per year, the program provides immersive, hands-on training across the full spectrum of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar pathology — with dedicated mentorship from two fellowship directors and three additional fellowship-trained attending surgeons.

FORE's dedicated research infrastructure — including clinical researchers, biomedical engineers, and a biostatistician — supports fellows in completing one to two publishable-quality projects during the fellowship year, building a foundation for academic and scholarly contribution throughout their careers.

Through structured academics, high case volume at Tampa General Hospital and multiple surgical sites, and attendance at national spine meetings, fellows graduate with the clinical confidence and academic grounding to succeed in any practice setting.
