FORE Is Offering a Variety of Orthopaedic Conferences Throughout 2020

Orthopaedic Conferences 2020Each year, the Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education (FORE) holds conferences across the country dedicated to educating orthopaedic healthcare professionals on new concepts, techniques, and technologies. We continue this tradition of providing high-quality educational courses in 2020 by offering conferences for professionals in many of the orthopaedic sub-specialties.

FORE’s orthopaedic conferences scheduled for 2020 are listed below. You can also view our course schedule to find the individual webpage for each conference. Please contact FORE by phone at (813) 877-8096 or by email at info@foreonline.org if you require any additional information.

Sports Medicine

Helping athletes overcome orthopaedic injuries is a major part of sports medicine. Accordingly, FORE offers a variety of conferences that present new advances in orthopaedic medicine within an educational context that’s useful to practitioners who treat professional and collegiate athletes, as well as weekend warriors.

For example, FORE is offering an orthopaedic conference in 2020 that’s focused exclusively on managing orthopaedic injuries in baseball players. This course will examine pertinent topics such as current injury trends, surgical and non-surgical treatment recommendations, and return-to-play guidelines.

  • 5th Annual Baseball Sports Medicine: Game-Changing Concepts (November 19 – 20 — New York, New York)

Trauma

Incidences of orthopaedic trauma commonly present practitioners with some of their most challenging cases. For this reason, it’s crucial for orthopaedic surgeons and other orthopaedic healthcare professionals who treat orthopaedic trauma to stay up-to-date on the latest advances in this dynamic field.

FORE is offering several orthopaedic conferences in 2020 dedicated exclusively to orthopaedic trauma:

Spine

How do emerging techniques compare with current treatment options? What promise does new technology hold in improving surgical outcomes? Practitioners can explore these and other pertinent topics at FORE’s annual spine surgery conferences.

Upper Extremity

Practitioners who treat the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand will find relevant educational opportunities among FORE’s orthopaedic conferences scheduled in 2020.

Our long-running Tampa Shoulder Course features a full day on key issues in shoulder arthroplasty (anatomic and reverse) and a full day dedicated to sports medicine topics. A pre-course hands-on workshop focuses on advanced shoulder arthroplasty surgical techniques. In previous years, FORE’s Frontiers in Upper Extremity Surgery conference has concentrated on hand and wrist topics, such as distal radius fractures, thumb carpometacarpal joint ligament reconstruction, total wrist arthroplasty, and total wrist arthrodesis.

Lower Extremity

Held at FORE’s world-class FIVE Labs facility in Tampa, Florida, the Current Solutions in Foot & Ankle Surgery conference gives practitioners who treat foot and ankle disorders the opportunity to learn about new treatment concepts and gain firsthand experience with advanced techniques in a fully equipped surgical laboratory. Previous years have featured sessions on topics such as cavovarus hindfoot/ankle reconstruction, flatfoot/hindfoot valgus reconstruction, ankle arthrodesis, and ankle arthroplasty.

General Orthopaedics

FORE’s schedule of orthopaedic conferences planned for 2020 includes multiple courses that cover a range of orthopaedic sub-specialties.

Our Orthopaedic Research Day features presentations by fellows from the Florida Orthopaedic Institute and residents from the University of South Florida. This allows these young investigators to gain experience with presenting in a professional environment. Our Orthopaedics for the Primary Care Practitioner & Rehabilitation Therapist conference is designed to educate non-operating orthopaedic healthcare professionals on pertinent topics such as physical examination techniques, knee and shoulder injections, fracture management, and primary care sports medicine.

  • 2020 Orthopaedic Research Day: Graduating Fellows & Residents (June 12 — Tampa, Florida)
  • 13th Annual Orthopaedics for the Primary Care Practitioner & Rehabilitation Therapist (July 24 – 26 — Clearwater, Florida)
