Where Our Fellows Go
Graduates practice across the vast spectrum of orthopaedic settings — from large private groups and academic medical centers to military service.
Private Practice
The majority of our graduates join high-volume private orthopaedic practices, many leading their own shoulder and elbow programs.
Academic Medicine
A number of alumni hold faculty positions at academic medical centers, contributing to research, education, and residency training.
Military Service
In keeping with our program's military ties, select graduates serve in military medical settings, continuing a tradition of service and excellence.

Research Excellence
Neer Award Recipients
Multiple FOI/FORE alumni have received the Charles S. Neer Clinical Science Award, the highest honor for clinical shoulder surgery research awarded annually by the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons. This achievement reflects the program's emphasis on academically rigorous, publication-quality research during the fellowship year.
