Orthopaedic Fracture Education Provided by FORE
The orthopaedic fracture courses provided by FORE – the Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education – are some of the nation’s top CME events. Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, these seminars allow participants to explore emerging techniques in fracture treatment and prevention, as well as novel surgical technologies and rehabilitative care strategies.
FORE offers a number of conferences that address orthopaedic fracture care, including:
- The Atlanta Trauma Symposium
- Frontiers in Upper Extremity Surgery
- Current Solutions in Orthopaedic Trauma
- Orthopaedic Trauma and Fracture Care: Pushing the Envelope
- The Southeast Fracture Conference
These conferences are open to orthopedic surgeons and physicians, as well as rehabilitative specialists, physical therapists, physicians’ assistants and surgical assistants, as well as any other medical professional whose scope of practice includes orthopaedic fracture care. While early registration is encouraged, it is not required, and FORE offers more than two dozen conferences each year for participants to choose from.
FORE’s events are unlike most other orthopedic conferences. For one, traditional lectures and presentations are interspersed with unique opportunities such as cadaver labs, live surgical demonstrations and pro/con discussion panels. Additionally, FORE’s conferences are smaller than most, creating a more relaxed and conversation-centric environment. With plenty of built-in opportunities for small group collaboration, participants can truly absorb each of the topics being presented.
