SUMMARY:2023 International Masters Anterior Course
DESCRIPTION:  \nWe are delighted to announce that this year’s International Masters Anterior Course (IMACx) will take place September 28-30\, 2023\, at The Westin Houston Medical Center in Houston\, Texas. \nThis course is designed to provide an intensive 3-day education on surgical techniques\, including modifications and extensions\, for primary and revision anterior total hip arthroplasty. Through a combination of didactic presentations\, interactive case-based panel discussions\, and live surgical demonstrations\, the internationally renowned faculty will share their expertise in the anterior approach as they address current trends in: \n\nManagement of surgical complications\nPrevention of periprosthetic infections\nHip preservation with the anterior approach\nDiagnosis and treatment of complex cases\nDevelopment of outpatient total joint programs\nEnhanced recovery protocols\nAdvanced surgical technologies\nNovel approaches to pain management\n\nAttendees will hear from surgical masters from around the world who are utilizing alternative approaches to hip arthroplasty in a “fireside chat\,” participate in “Stump the Faculty” case-based panel discussions\, and view surgical broadcasts that will showcase the latest advancements in the direct anterior hip approach. \nA 3-hour bioskills lab at the Houston Methodist Institute for Technology\, Innovation & Education will feature faculty-led surgical technique demonstrations and hands-on instruction\, providing an opportunity for attendees to practice the skills they’ve learned during the course.
